According to Spanish software reviews, you must know where your weaknesses lie. For example, do you suck at directions and have a hard time reading a map? Then maybe you are not too keen on determining things spatially, and may be better at determining things in logical patterns or steps. This information alone gives you a better understanding of which Spanish learning software will work for you. People who are good with directions will benefit from a program that creates a mind map of the lessons. This is a non-linear way of learning – it instead looks at the lessons as a whole. Logical or left-brained thinkers will benefit from a Spanish program that uses the step-by-step approach.
Almost all Spanish software reviews assume that the best software for you are those that can combine all these learning elements. This is why Rocket Spanish and Rosetta Stone are both so highly recommended by most Spanish teachers.
I will cover Rocket Spanish and Rosetta Stone in my next couple posts.

In learning Spanish, or any language for that matter, you need to use your eyes, ears, mouth, and sight. This is because a language is composed of words that are written down, read, spoken, and heard. First you need to hear the words to be familiar with them. Then you need to be familiar with the proper movement of the lips when the words are spoken –you have to try to imitate it with your own lips and mouth. You also need to see how the words are written so you can associate the word to the sound. It will also help if you see a visual representation of the words so that your mind can associate them. Memories, after all, are mostly composed of pictures.
According to most Spanish software reviews, the most effective way to find the right software for you is to first determine your learning method. What type of a learner are you? Some people are more visual than others. Some learn better when they read through the text, while others are better in listening to lessons.
For example, Rocket Spanish is known for using a variety of techniques and tools to reach all types of learners. Visual and auditory aids are used, along with interactive games and audio lessons. Almost all Spanish software reviews advise you to determine your learning technique and select a Spanish learning software product that caters to that.

Welcome to my Spanish software review blog!
With so many products to choose from these days, you should read Spanish software reviews before making a final purchase decision. Make sure to focus on what other people say about the software’s teaching approach. The best software can teach you Spanish in a fast, painless and effective way, at the shortest time possible. Most people (especially kids) learn better when lessons are interactive, infused with fun, and have a lot of visuals. Most Spanish software reviews can point you to software products that have all these elements.
Over the coming weeks, I will be posting my reviews of different Spanish software I have tried and currently recommend.
In case you are looking for a solution right now, I will tell you that my personal favorite course is Rocket Spanish. I also like Rosetta Stone, I just found it a bit expensive. These are the two most popular Spanish-learning programs available today, and for good reason. I will go into more detail on each program in future posts.
